ABWM - AMERICAN BAPTIST WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

The ABWM did not meet in January of 2019. The Feb. meeting was small with no program. We did give $100 to America for Christ Offering.    In March we made the roller bandages which has always been a fun and productive meeting. We will no longer be doing these since it is now an obsolete need.  In April we made the plans for the Mother/Daughter banquet held on May 5th. The tables were decorated with items for the Bucket buddies buckets. On the day before we hosted the Laughery Association ABWM retreat. In June we gave $100 to the Westport Camp and to The Edna Martin food Closet. In July we helped with the food at Pangburn Park for a week and collected school supplies   We did not meet in September.

We gave $100 to the One Great Hour of Sharing in October and we hosted our annual Chili Supper. The fall conference was at Greendale Baptist Church. In November we collected hygiene products for South Ripley students. In December we hosted the annual Christmas Breakfast for the church and gave $100 to the Retired Ministers and Missionary Fund.

We lost Mary Thayer, Genelle Henderson, and Ruth Walsh this past year. We look forward to another year of serving in whatever ways we may this next year. We have few active members every year, but pray we can continue as a serving group.

Cheryl Welch served on the summer Conference committee. This next year the summer Conference will be held in Lipton instead of Franklin College.

Respectfully Submitted,
Shirley Pavey, President Versailles Baptist ABWM
